If your dog tiers easily, is slow to rise, or avoids climbing, running, and jumping, canine osteoarthritis may be to blame. You know your dog better then anyone. You see your pet on a daily basis, and you are the best person to recognize the early signs and risk factors of canine arthritis. We now offer a product called Adequan ® Canine (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan - PSGAG) it is a prescription, water-based, intramuscular, PSGAG that helps prevent the cartilage in your dog’s joints from wearing away. It helps maintain and keep the cartilage healthy and intact. No other drug for arthritis can do that. Numerous studies show that Adequan ® Canine can slow the cartilage from breaking down and actually supports the repair process. Adequan ® Canine is FDA approved so you can be assured of its effectiveness.
What is Canine Arthritis?
Arthritis occurs in your dogs joints. Healthy joints consist of cartilage that covers and protects the ends of the bones in a joint. Cartilage has no nerves, there for when the bone touches cartilage there is no pain. Arthritis causes this important cartilage to wear away leaving bone on bone, which is very painful. This pain can cause a decrease in your dog’s quality of life.
